There is a web version for this application, see our Products area. Although the newer Tritex Accounting™ Windows versions consume nearly twice the disk space of the older version when installed, and the MS Access 2003 Runtime takes up twice the above disk space, this is not an issue due to today's storage capacities and download speeds. However, we have split the program from the Runtime in order to allow users of MS Access® 2003 to skip the Runtime setup. If you already have Access 2003 or the MS Access 2003 Runtime installed then setup only the Tritex Accounting program in the specific computer. Please browse to our Products menu item and consult the Tritex Accounting - Readme for Setup instructions regarding MS Access® 2003 RUNTIME ISSUES. Regarding newer MS Access versions, we have not yet updated the application especially because of the tall ribbon, and lack of toolbar support. Although one of the purposes for the ribbon is to approximate a large enough interface for touch devices it does no justice to the desktop, and mouse driven interfaces, and since this is still a work in progress, so is the application, which will most likely just take an Intranet/Internet approach, while making toolbars and menus user friendly for touch devices.

Although the Tritex Accounting preferences allow the program to adapt to several industries without additional changes, it is possible that new modifications be justified, especially when they will adapt to the preferences, thus keeping the program dynamically stable as one single version. When such modifications exceed the ability to parametrize user preferences we then analyze the principles and may provide such modifications, however, regular program upgrades will not be applicable to this particular version, eventually segregating it from the mainstream, which is not the best approach. Or we might negotiate such a special request, or deny it, or suggest an alternative, which in many cases has turned out to be just what the user wanted in the first place, but did not properly request it. However, there is a chance that your specific requests already be in demand, which could categorize the modifications as an upgrade.

Requests for modification will be analyzed and a response will be promptly generated by email. They will be logged and categorized by subject, and may be approved as a current upgrade, approved as customization, postponed for a future upgrade, denied, or negotiated.

Please note that it is extremely important to maintain and to periodically verify a backup of both the program and the data. Users are responsible for the integrity of their program version and data, and the proper backup routine will insure their well being. Likewise, a well designed network, employing the appropriate hardware, is strongly recommended. Also please notice that in most cases a serious business will want a well designed and secure network in order to allow for on-going support when issues are encountered. A long trip for a small task would be unjustified, therefore we require connectivity when it is appropriate.

Due to Microsoft Defender's SmartScreen, Windows security attempts prevention of users downloading executable files, which is how we provide our Windows applications. If you have trusted our content then here are the steps to bypass the nag and perform the download, at least through the Microsoft Edge browser, however, as a general rule make sure to trust an entity before downloading their content:

Click to download one of the files, pick the 'Save as' option, select a location, and click Save.
The download gets blocked, hover over the message, click the 'More actions' triple dots, then select Keep.
On the next prompt you are warned by SmartScreen. Expand 'Show more' and select 'Keep anyway'.
Give the download a few seconds before closing the browser.

For your security we recommend that the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen options be kept ON under Defender's App & browser control / Reputation based protection. It is safer to cover the above steps rather than endangering your computer. If you use protection other than Microsoft Defender then you must address their download policy, and learn how to force a trusted download.

Download and Setup the MS Access® 2003 Runtime

File date: 03/16/2004. Also included in the provided 'Acc2003Runtime Extract.exe' extractable zip file.

Only after the MS Access 2003 Runtime has been setup should the Tritex Accounting program be setup, unless the machine already has MS Access 2003 installed, in which case skip setup of the Runtime for that computer. If you plan to run setup from a network location then make sure not to change the drive letter or path between setup time and the possible uninstall of the Runtime.

Execute Acc2003Runtime Extract.exe to unzip setup to your downloads folder, or to a CD or DVD ROM. It will create sub-folder 'MSAcc2003RunTimeApp_2004-03-16', which contains the setup.exe file.

Execute setup.exe only after you have determined that this location will permanetly hold the setup files. This will insure that a future uninstall works.

Please do not uninstall the MS Access 2003 Runtime from Control Panel's Programs and Features, or from Add/Remove Programs in an older OS. Instead use the original setup.exe file to select the Uninstall feature.
